Verdure Garden LLC ("Verdure," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website at verdure.garden. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and the limited circumstances under which we share it. We do not sell your personal information.

• Newsletter signup — your email address when you subscribe.
• Order and checkout — name, email address, phone number (optional), shipping address, and any order notes you provide when placing an order.
• Contact and inquiry — any information you include when reaching out to us by email.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and analytics data — pages visited, time on site, referral source, device type, and browser type, collected through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 uses cookies and collects data in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
• Server logs — IP address, request timestamps, and HTTP headers logged automatically by our web server. Logs are retained for troubleshooting and security purposes.
• Cookies and local storage — we use browser local storage to maintain your shopping cart across pages. GA4 sets cookies to distinguish sessions and measure usage. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

Payment information

Payment card data is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store card numbers, CVV codes, or full card details on our servers. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To fulfill your order — process purchases, transmit shipping details to our suppliers, and send order confirmations.
• To communicate with you — respond to questions, send order status updates, and notify you of changes that affect your order.
• To send the newsletter — if you subscribed, send periodic emails about new products, growing guides, and site updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• To improve the site — use aggregated, anonymized analytics data to understand which content and tools are most useful.
• To prevent fraud and maintain security — monitor for unusual order patterns and protect the site from abuse.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate our business:

• Fulfillment suppliers — when you place an order, we transmit your name and shipping address to the drop-ship supplier who ships your order. Suppliers receive only what is needed to fulfill the shipment and are not authorized to use it for any other purpose.
• Payment processor — Stripe receives payment information to authorize and process transactions.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 receives anonymized usage data. GA4 data is processed subject to Google's data processing terms.
• Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Verdure, our customers, or the public.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain order records and associated contact information for a minimum of seven (7) years for accounting and tax compliance purposes. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

5. Your Choices

• Newsletter — unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email, or by emailing us at admin@verdure.garden.
• Analytics — you may opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.
• Cookies — you may clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing local storage will empty your shopping cart.
• Access, correction, or deletion — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, or request deletion (subject to our legal retention obligations), contact us at admin@verdure.garden. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

Our site is served over HTTPS (TLS). Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect the information we do store; however, no internet transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to manufacturer product pages, supplier sites, or external resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
